Proclamation of Intention
by Sean on Apr.21, 2007, under spirituality
After a few moments of deeply felt renunciation, I started thinking about intention. This ended up crystalizing into some words of aspiration:
May I develop many positive qualities and possess the ability to alleviate suffering.
May my actions serve as a conduit that aides beings in recognizing their true essence.
May I uncover my own flaws rather than criticize others.
May those who are seekers experience joy and spiritual insight. May those who are not seeking also experience joy and insight in whatever way is meaningful.
May Awareness be boundless and dissolve this self-centered small mind.
May what is to come be joyfully encountered as it is, without extra layers of negative concepts.
May bodhisattvas be blessed with abundance and be unobstructed in manifesting compassion.
May the need for compassion become obsolete.

I remember from somewhere recently,
the axiom: ‘one should always keep
a better opinion of others, than one does
of oneself..’
Which I think fits with,
“May I uncover my own flaws rather than criticize others.”
Near enough sounding..

Oh, but there is! As soon as you put it where it could be read or perceived by others, whether recorded or not, it’s copyrighted by you. In any case, thank you.
