This wasn’t The Big One, but a large earthquake just hit 15 km NE of San Jose and 11km E of Milpitas. A preliminary report places the magnitude of this quake at 5.6 on the Richter scale.

Since the truck I just bought last Sunday was totaled the day after I bought it, I had to hitchhike downtown to my favorite pub to watch the Cup. USA vs. Italy. Ended in a tie, but great game.
