Number Crunching
by Sean on Apr.24, 2007, under moneyz
I decided to do some math today. Even with working full-time at the job I start tomorrow, it will only provide enough to cover my monthly credit card bills and rent. There is still food, gas, car insurance and unforeseen expenses. And I’ve got two maxed cards that are going to be coming out of 0% very soon. Any suggestions besides stop eating?

This is too funny. Recently I’ve been getting a lot of credit card offers. The invitation is for: Owner, Me Inc.

Proclamation of Intention
by Sean on Apr.21, 2007, under spirituality
After a few moments of deeply felt renunciation, I started thinking about intention. This ended up crystalizing into some words of aspiration:
May I develop many positive qualities and possess the ability to alleviate suffering.
May my actions serve as a conduit that aides beings in recognizing their true essence.
May I uncover my own flaws rather than criticize others.
May those who are seekers experience joy and spiritual insight. May those who are not seeking also experience joy and insight in whatever way is meaningful.
May Awareness be boundless and dissolve this self-centered small mind.
May what is to come be joyfully encountered as it is, without extra layers of negative concepts.
May bodhisattvas be blessed with abundance and be unobstructed in manifesting compassion.
May the need for compassion become obsolete.

BudWiser

After my car died I had to find some wheels quick. I ended up buying an SUV since it would help me move. It is dark blue and I am going to call it Cookie Monster.
On my way back to El Cerrito to get the rest of my stuff I had to stop for gas. While Cookie Monster was having a guzzle, I decided to go in to the quick mart and buy a winning lottery ticket. I stood there waiting in line behind an old Chinese woman. The only thing she came in to buy was a can of Budweiser. For some reason, as the clerk was putting the can into a brown paper bag I started to feel sad.

Don’t make excuses for “having” to do the things you don’t care about. Find avenues to do what truly inspires you.

Consciously Shifting
by Sean on Apr.16, 2007, under inspiration, spirituality
Right now is a transitional time. Time for developing heart-felt compassion and empathy. Time for letting go of attachments and experiencing the always present bliss and emptiness of Being. Time for holding up the world while doing a handstand.

Is staring at the computer good for the eyes!??
by Sean on Apr.05, 2007, under health
This is incredible! Last night I decided to do a little “reading” before going to bed. So I got out my Magic Eye book. It wasn’t long before the image snapped into 3D. I casually browsed a few other ones. They came into focus quickly too. Then I started to notice it. All of the images were easier to see than usual. I decided to try one of the harder ones. It locked in fast and not only that, it was easier to keep it in focus.

The Lair of the Crab of Ineffable Wisdom

A friend passed this site along to me. Damn! Why did it take so long for me to know about this one? It’s freakin WEIRD!
You must enjoy singing animals if you plan on visiting this site. Specifically singing kittens. Prepare yourself for utter ridiculosity, and make sure to take along a pocket version of Urban Dictionary so you don’t miss the English slang. If you only watch one thing on the site, be sure to see Can I Have A Go?. It is… Rather Good!
